It has truly been a grown-up kids playground this week at the London Toy Fair, and once we had completed handing over our client stands for Bladez Toys and Funko, we took the opportunity to see just how diverse this show is when it comes to creativity with product display.
As you might expect with lots of toy displays and demonstrations, this is a bright, colourful and noisy space where every stand demands attention. This show is an assault on the senses and demands careful client coordination to strike the right balance.
So how did we work with our client’s briefs to help them attract appropriate attention whilst remaining on brand?
Funko asked us to deliver two display ends to flank the entry of their dedicated meeting room within their stand space along with some additional features such as plinths and backlit logos.
The real stand out feature however, is the bespoke infinity mirror display units that were adopted into these display walls to creatively showcase this selection of their horror and sci-fi toy products.
Bladez Toys carries a high number of well known brands and a wide product range, our task was to create a stand that gives them maximum opportunity to display these without overcrowding or closing off their stand space.
We designed a space that gives the feel of a toyshop without the clutter. In addition to plinths and product towers, we installed custom built shelves with LED down lights to highlight products perfectly. Open shelf displays give an open and inviting edge to the exhibition stand space, whilst secluding visitors from the busyness of the main hall.
Both clients have benefited from our in-house graphic design and production to facilitate the detailed graphic elements of their stand visuals, with the onsite build team ensuring the display was exactly to the client’s expectation.
It’s vital that these builds factor in an extra time allocation for the clients to dress the stand with their products with plenty of time ahead of the event opening. Our project managers remain on hand with the build team during this time to ensure every fitting and light position works to best show the clients products.
This is only phase one for Bladez and Funko however, as we will be shipping and rebuilding immediately on the close of London Toy Fair to rebuild in Nuremberg for Spielewarenmesse along with a third client next week.
